Above The Law

Nico is an Italian who was trained in the martial arts (I didn't see that coming!) in Japan and furthered his training with the CIA. During the Vietnam war he reports to Zagon who is corrupt. Flip to present day and Nico is now a Chicago detective who busts a high profile drug king pin named Salvano. But soon Salvano is released along with all his henchmen. Nico discovers a connection between is old superior, Zagon, and Salvano. Add a Senator who is trying to expose the corrupt undercover operations and Nico's hot wife in danger and Nico (Seagal) goes to work kickin' ass.
